Are there restroom stops during the Reykjavik Lights Tour?
Yes, we do have rest stops during the Reykjavik Lights Tour Private Northern Lights Package but they may be few at times based on the route. In some parts of Iceland’s remote countryside which is where you’ll find the best Northern Lights displays, there are very few facilities.
To make travel comfortable guides will include in the route stops at gas stations, cafés, or rest areas which may also have rest rooms along the way. Also because this is a private tour you have the option to request breaks for the bathroom or for a break at any time you need it which may not be the case in a group setting.
Also that being the case it is a good idea to use the restroom before the tour starts in Reykjavik. The drive into the country can take 30 to 60 minutes and at that point some places may not be open. In the winter some remote locations may close early which is why your guide will put forth the best stops.
For parents which include kids and travelers with health issues we have the private SUV which is very safe, also the route is modified by our guide for your comfort. Also some guests bring along emergency kits, however in general we plan our rest stops to be as few and far between as possible.
While in the rural areas rest stop facilities are few and far between, private tours outdo group bus tours which adhere to set itineraries and times. With the SUV package we present a choice of comfort and adventure that in turn makes the Northern Lights experience a more laid back affair.
