Where do I even begin? I am so glad I stumbled upon this tour on Airbnb. It was perfect! Our tour guide, Muggy was incredible. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. Because this tour group was small (unlike some other companies and there 60 person coach buses), he was able to go through all of our phones and cameras to make sure we had the perfect settings to get the best pictures possible. Muggy really knew what he was doing and we were often alone or one of very few mini buses at each location. On our tour, we unfortunately did NOT get to the see the lights:( but Muggy provided his contact info to us and we 2 days later, he gave us a location and we saw the lights!!! This was so incredibly nice of him. Went above and beyond to make sure we saw them on our last day in Iceland. 10/10 would recommend this tour to anyone! Read Less

We had the most amazing guide (Klaus)! Our guide helped us get great pictures and he posted his amazing pictures to the Facebook site where we could share/download them. We absolutely loved this tour was a small group versus the big bus tour. After hours of not seeing any lights, our guide decided to stay out longer for a better chance to see them. All the big buses left and a few hours later they appeared and put on a spectacular show! Because of the small group, we were able to stay out longer and enjoy the lights! Klaus was the best! This was a bucket list item for us so we were so pleased to see the Northern Lights! Our guide Maggi did a great job of setting our expectations and teaching us how the aurora borealis is forecasted. He helped us set up our phones so that we could get nice pictures of the lights and he took our photos with them as well on his professional camera and gave them to us for a small fee. He also explained that different people can see different levels of color in the northern lights. In the pictures here, I could see all of these lights as shapes but they all looked pale green to me. My husband was able to see some red in them. It was so fun to look at the pictures after and recognize the shapes we had been seeing but in full color. Maggi turned me into a pro as I was able to spot them on my own on our last night as we were driving into Reykjavik from a different tour. Maggi was also kind enough to personally drop off my husband's beanie to us that he had left behind on the van. We would highly recommend going with this company to see the aurora borealis! This was our favorite part of our trip! Read Less

Oh, where to even begin!?! Maggi is just the best! This tour was an incredibly special and intimate look into the incredible Northern Lights. This is a HUNT! I think many folks just assume you drive 20 minutes and the lights are just there - NO. This is a legit outdoor ADVENTURE - and it's incredible.Maggi is one of the most honest, genuine, incredible people we had the pleasure to meet. You can tell that hunting for these lights is his absolute passion and he gives this trip his all. Not only does he drive the van and act as tour guide, he is hunting for these lights the entire time (WHICH IS SUPER HARD WORK), ensuring your group has the most magical time possible. He's essentially doing the work of three people; it's amazing.If you're expecting a short, concise trip - don't go and don't waste Maggi's energy. If you're in search of an adventure with an incredibly talented human being, do yourself a favor and book.We appreciate you more than you know, Maggi!
