This was a bucket list item for us so we were so pleased to see the Northern Lights! Our guide Maggi did a great job of setting our expectations and teaching us how the aurora borealis is forecasted. He helped us set up our phones so that we could get nice pictures of the lights and he took our photos with them as well on his professional camera and gave them to us for a small fee. He also explained that different people can see different levels of color in the northern lights. In the pictures here, I could see all of these lights as shapes but they all looked pale green to me. My husband was able to see some red in them. It was so fun to look at the pictures after and recognize the shapes we had been seeing but in full color. Maggi turned me into a pro as I was able to spot them on my own on our last night as we were driving into Reykjavik from a different tour. Maggi was also kind enough to personally drop off my husband's beanie to us that he had left behind on the van. We would highly recommend going with this company to see the aurora borealis! This was our favorite part of our trip! Read Less

Where do I even begin? I am so glad I stumbled upon this tour on Airbnb. It was perfect! Our tour guide, Muggy was incredible. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. Because this tour group was small (unlike some other companies and there 60 person coach buses), he was able to go through all of our phones and cameras to make sure we had the perfect settings to get the best pictures possible. Muggy really knew what he was doing and we were often alone or one of very few mini buses at each location. On our tour, we unfortunately did NOT get to the see the lights:( but Muggy provided his contact info to us and we 2 days later, he gave us a location and we saw the lights!!! This was so incredibly nice of him. Went above and beyond to make sure we saw them on our last day in Iceland. 10/10 would recommend this tour to anyone! Read Less

We booked an additional Northern Lights tour through our hotel the Centrum as our first tour whilst very good hadt achieved the end result of seeing the Lights. Our guide Maggie was fantastic being very knowledgeable and clearly having a desire to make the experience memorable to us all. My wife has terminal cancer this was one of her bucket list things to do but she is limited in what she can and cannot do Maggie was superb in making her feel comfortable and part of the overall experience. He offered a photo service we didn't feel as if we had to have the photos even though we did. We highly recommend the tour through Go to joy Iceland. Thank you for making this a very special night. This was an excellent tour with a very successful find of the Northern Lights. Regardless, of if we were to find the lights, Maggi was the absolute best! He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that everyonein the group was tended to throughout the evening. Not to mention he has excellent photography skills which helped us capture lifetime memories of the experience. A+++++ experience!!! Read Less

The northern lights tour with our guide Maggi was great! He was passionate and knowledgeable about the phenomenon. I enjoyed his scientific explanation behind the formation of the lights. We travelled to different locations through the night to maximise the chances of spotting the lights. We had a clear sky but the northern light activity was low meaning we got a faint glimpse that night. What I really appreciated was Maggi taking time to explain what indicators to look for and giving advice on how to look for the lights which enabled us to see an amazing spectacle the following night. Id definitely recommend the tour and the guide who is attentive and goes above and beyond to enhance the experience for everyone! Read Less

Maurizio was so kind and professional. Most imperishable importantly, he was patient and determined that we see the northern lights! After waiting for hours, he drove us to another location and we saw them :) this was after all the bigger tour groups already gave up and went home. The small group is definitely worth it! Read Less

We loved our Aurora hunt. The agent was very flexible and accomodating as we had to quarantine for one day and had to delay the tour for one day, while we waited our negative result. We were picked up on time, as specified on the email and our driver, 3M, went above and beyond to ensure our group got to see the Northern Lights, although the weather was not the friendliest from the start. We managed to see the lights in 3 différént locations. Magnus also took some really beautiful pictures, when we found the lights, to keep these memories alive in our mind ❤️ thank you so much for the experience! Read Less
