Tour guide was excellent! Really put in effort to make sure we saw them. First night was cancelled due to weather but we were booked straight on for the next night and boy was it worth it we luckily seen them from the first 30/40 mins into the tour and for another hour ! Proper photos taken by the guide which you can download next day from there facebook page! Would recommend anyone to go with this guide was brilliant! Read Less

I booked with Go to Joy Iceland for a northern lights trip and could not have had a better experience. Despite a mistake on my end Makrem searched the city until he found us to pick us up. The tour itself was perfectly executed and our guide did not rest until we had the ultimate experience. There are many tours for the northern lights in the area but Im confident no one does it better then Go to Joy! Read Less

Oh, where to even begin!?! Maggi is just the best! This tour was an incredibly special and intimate look into the incredible Northern Lights. This is a HUNT! I think many folks just assume you drive 20 minutes and the lights are just there - NO. This is a legit outdoor ADVENTURE - and it's incredible.Maggi is one of the most honest, genuine, incredible people we had the pleasure to meet. You can tell that hunting for these lights is his absolute passion and he gives this trip his all. Not only does he drive the van and act as tour guide, he is hunting for these lights the entire time (WHICH IS SUPER HARD WORK), ensuring your group has the most magical time possible. He's essentially doing the work of three people; it's amazing.If you're expecting a short, concise trip - don't go and don't waste Maggi's energy. If you're in search of an adventure with an incredibly talented human being, do yourself a favor and book.We appreciate you more than you know, Maggi! This tour was exactly what you’d expect. We were picked up at a public bus stop, so if you have the opportunity to book in advance, I’d highly recommend requesting pick up at your hotel/airbnb. We were given a half hour window to wait outside in sub-zero temperatures. The staff was perfunctory and a little short with clients… responded to pick up request with “unfortunately” and another time “you didn’t read the instructions” which we had and the information was not in the Airbnb description. So if you do this tour, bring your ID. The information was recorded and drunk guests were talking so it was hard to hear. The guide was informative and although blunt, patient with wrangling guests. We saw the northern lights. We learned how to manage our phones and in the end the objectives were achieved. The bus was nicely equipped and warm. So overall, not a half bad experience, but between rowdy guests and a host on the limit it wasn’t the warm and fun experience you would hope for. Read Less
