How flexible is the schedule of the Reykjavik Lights Tour?

We are flexible from the get go with our departure times. While group tours tend to stick to a set schedule we are able to change our leave times based on weather, solar activity reports and also what you as the guest would like to see out of your tour.
For instance at some point in the evening the conditions may improve which is when your guide will suggest to push back the start time in which case the chance of seeing the aurora will go up. Once out on the road we are very flexible. We stop at scenic points of interest as you wish, spend more time in areas which show promise of seeing the aurora, or head back early if your group would like. With private groups we don’t have a set schedule like large groups do.
The SUV also provides an entry point to far off and under lit areas, which in turn presents a more pure experience. As the cloud coverage and aurora reports may change through out the night we are able to change our route at will to seek out better conditions. This adaptability greatly improves your chance of seeing the Northern Lights.
