Just got back to our rooms after a Northern Lights tour with Magnús at Go To Joy Iceland tour company. What a fantastic guide he was. Magnús made us feel comfortable during out drive and he was tenacious about finding the perfect spot for our “Lights” viewing! He guided us there a proper channel for achieving the best shots possible and was enthusiastic the entire evening as he hosted us for a few hours. Wrap up warmly for this magical Northern Lights tour you’ll probably be spending a lot of time outside! The minibus is very warm however so you will be able to thaw out! Our guide Maggi was fantastic! He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and made an effort with everyone on the trip. He showed us all how to set up our phones/ cameras to get the best pictures of the aurora. We were lucky enough to have a good view of the northern lights but not until about 1am so thank you so much to Maggi for persevering and not rushing us home at midnight! We had many laughs which helped the time pass quickly whilst we waited. Jupiter looked great too!! Read Less

We spent some time thinking if we should even book this experience, but in the end it was completely worth it! We recommend booking guided tours to see northern lights because they are more knowledgeable, better informed and experienced. There is little chance you will be seeing northern lights on your own. Maggie, our guide, was very determined to help us see northern lights and succeeded in the end despite bas weather and heavy snow. We recommend this tour as it was really a once in a lifetime experience! Read Less
