Enjoy Iceland Tours – Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings with Enjoy Iceland Tours, including private custom tours, pre-designed day tours, and Northern Lights experiences. It is designed to comply with Icelandic law and the EU Package Travel Directive (2015/2302).
1. Scope and Definitions
- Package Tour: A combination of at least two different types of travel services (e.g., Transport, Airport Transfer, Tours, Northern Lights Tour) sold together under one contract. EU consumer rights apply.
- Linked Travel Arrangement: Separate bookings facilitated by Enjoy Iceland Tours but sold separately; EU package rules may not apply.
- Force Majeure / Extraordinary Circumstances: Events beyond our control that make performance impossible or dangerous, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.
- No-show: Failure to arrive for the tour without prior notice.
2. General Refund Eligibility
- Refunds must be requested in writing via email: hello@enjoyicelandtours.com including booking reference and lead traveler’s name.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method unless the guest requests a travel voucher.
- Currency exchange fluctuations are not covered.
- Refunds are processed within 14 days after approval.
3. Customer-Initiated Cancellations

Note: Cancellation fees represent a reasonable estimate of non-recoverable administrative and operational costs.
4. Northern Lights Tours
A. Northern Lights Tour – Package Tours: If the Northern Lights tour is included as part of a package booking and cannot operate due
to weather conditions or force majeure, a voucher valid for 2 years will be issued. The voucher may be redeemed for the Northern Lights tour or any other Enjoy Iceland Tours experience, with any applicable fare difference applied.
B. Northern Lights Tour – Standalone Tours: If a standalone Northern Lights tour is cancelled due to weather conditions or force
majeure, guests may choose either a full refund or a voucher valid for 2 years, redeemable for this tour or any other Enjoy Iceland Tours experience, with any applicable fare difference applied.
C. Northern Lights Tour – No-Sighting Policy: Northern Lights visibility is a natural phenomenon beyond our control and cannot be
guaranteed. Refunds are not offered solely due to lack of visibility if the tour operates as scheduled.
5. Modifications and Partial Cancellations
- Reducing the number of participants counts as a partial cancellation subject to the above cancellation rules.
- Rescheduling or modifying bookings incurs no fee if details remain the same; additional costs apply if tour specifics change.
6. Operator Cancellations and Rights
- Enjoy Iceland Tours reserves the right to cancel, delay, modify, or alter any tour, transfer, or service at any time due to operational requirements, safety concerns, weather conditions, or force majeure events. In such cases, guests will be offered a full refund or, where applicable, a voucher valid for 2 years redeemable for the same tour or another Enjoy Iceland Tours experience, with any fare difference applied.
- Enjoy Iceland Tours will assist with alternative arrangements if necessary under EU regulations.
7. Third-Party Services
- If third-party services are arranged at the traveler’s request—such as any lagoon experiences, whale watching, or other activities—these services may be subject to the third party’s own cancellation and refund policies. Enjoy Iceland Tours is not responsible for refunds if the third-party provider does not provide a refund. Any refunds received from third-party providers will be passed on to the traveler without undue delay.
8. No-Show Policy
- Guests who fail to show up without prior notice are not eligible for a refund.
