Just got back to our rooms after a Northern Lights tour with Magnús at Go To Joy Iceland tour company. What a fantastic guide he was. Magnús made us feel comfortable during out drive and he was tenacious about finding the perfect spot for our “Lights” viewing! He guided us there a proper channel for achieving the best shots possible and was enthusiastic the entire evening as he hosted us for a few hours. Oh, where to even begin!?! Maggi is just the best! This tour was an incredibly special and intimate look into the incredible Northern Lights. This is a HUNT! I think many folks just assume you drive 20 minutes and the lights are just there - NO. This is a legit outdoor ADVENTURE - and it's incredible. Maggi is one of the most honest, genuine, incredible people we had the pleasure to meet. You can tell that hunting for these lights is his absolute passion and he gives this trip his all. Not only does he drive the van and act as tour guide, he is hunting for these lights the entire time (WHICH IS SUPER HARD WORK), ensuring your group has the most magical time possible. He's essentially doing the work of three people; it's amazing. If you're expecting a short, concise trip - don't go and don't waste Maggi's energy. If you're in search of an adventure with an incredibly talented human being, do yourself a favor and book. We appreciate you more than you know, Maggi! This company and drivers are very accommodating, knowledgeable and have a good sense humour. They know the spots, especially with Northern Lights tour. We did Golden Circle during a January day and it was fantastic. Bus was comfortable and commentary excellent. Highly recommend. Read Less

Where do I even begin? I am so glad I stumbled upon this tour on Airbnb. It was perfect! Our tour guide, Muggy was incredible. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. Because this tour group was small (unlike some other companies and there 60 person coach buses), he was able to go through all of our phones and cameras to make sure we had the perfect settings to get the best pictures possible. Muggy really knew what he was doing and we were often alone or one of very few mini buses at each location. On our tour, we unfortunately did NOT get to the see the lights:( but Muggy provided his contact info to us and we 2 days later, he gave us a location and we saw the lights!!! This was so incredibly nice of him. Went above and beyond to make sure we saw them on our last day in Iceland. 10/10 would recommend this tour to anyone! Read Less

We booked an additional Northern Lights tour through our hotel the Centrum as our first tour whilst very good hadt achieved the end result of seeing the Lights. Our guide Maggie was fantastic being very knowledgeable and clearly having a desire to make the experience memorable to us all. My wife has terminal cancer this was one of her bucket list things to do but she is limited in what she can and cannot do Maggie was superb in making her feel comfortable and part of the overall experience. He offered a photo service we didn't feel as if we had to have the photos even though we did. We highly recommend the tour through Go to joy Iceland. Thank you for making this a very special night. I kept my expectations low, knowing seeing the lights wasn’t guaranteed, which would have been a chore considering the time and the cold weather but man, was it worth the risk!
